Scope of action

The Pedagogical Council is responsible for:

  1. Providing an opinion on pedagogical guidelines and teaching and assessment methods;
  2. Promoting regular inquiries into the school's pedagogical performance as well as the analysis and publication of the results of those inquiries;
  3. Promoting the evaluation of educators' pedagogical performances, by themselves and the students, as well as its analysis and publication;
  4. Assessing complaints regarding pedagogical failures and proposing necessary measures;
  5. Approving the regulations for evaluating student achievement;
  6. Providing an opinion on the time-limitation regime;
  7. Providing an opinion on the creation of new study programmes and on the curricula plans for the study programmes currently offered;
  8. Providing an opinion on school awards;
  9. Providing an opinion on the academic calendar, timetables and exam maps;
  10. Exercising any other powers or functions as stated by law or the relevant ESD statutes.

 

Composition

The Pedagogical Council is composed in the following manner:

  1. Six students, four from undergraduate courses and two from master's courses;
  2. Six professors, four from undergraduate courses and two from master's courses.
