Board of Representatives
Scope of action
The Board of Representatives is responsible for:
- Electing the school director and decide on his removal, the latter act requiring due cause, in accordance with the legal provisions in place;
- Appreciating and approving the annual activities programme to be submitted by the director and which should also include its budget projection;
- Approving annual ESD activity and account reports;
- Proposing and approve changes to present Statutes and decide on questions regarding their application;
- Producing and approve its own regulation;
- Providing an opinion on the creation, modification, or extinction of organic subunits;
- Providing an opinion on any other matter submitted to the board by the presidents of other ESD management bodies;
- Speaking on any subject relevant to the performance of the ESD mission or the school’s faculty, students and non-teaching staff, within the limits of the law and by request of at least 50% of its members, provided these do not belong to the same body.
Composition
- The Board of Representatives is composed of fifteen members. These are:
- Nine faculty members or researchers;
- Five students;
- A non-teaching and non-researcher employee.
- For the purposes of that which is stated in points a) and c) of paragraph 1, there should be considered, respectively:
- Full-time faculty and researchers who have worked in ESD for more than three years;
- Full-time non-faculty and non-researcher employees who have worked in ESD for more than three years, whatever their contractual relationship may be.
